K-12 education and postsecondary success equity leader with a successful 15-year track record in managing complex projects, developing and implementing strategic plans, and achieving bold goals for students/young adults, schools/organizations, and society. Deep understanding of the challenges facing students and professionals who are BIPOC or from first-generation, low-income, or rural backgrounds and passionate about developing and implementing solutions that address these challenges. Bold goals are necessary when achieving something great requires going up against the status quo and oppressive systems. Bold goals I have achieved include:► Oversaw turnaround in positive career outcomes for Year Up SF participants (increased from 45.2% (July 2020 cohort) to 67.7% (July 2021 cohort) earning full-time roles within 6-months of graduation) while increasing staff engagement to the org average (up from being nearly 20 percent below the average) according to the organization’s pulse survey.► Designed and launched Equitas Academy's Alumni Program and its college access and preparation strategic plan to serve students, alumni, and their families across 6 schools (K-8; 99% Latinx, 92% low-income, and 94% first-generation).
