The portfolio comprised a range of single premium, open architecture, non-guaranteed unit-linked investment bonds distributed primarily through private banks and specialist IFAs to UK residents. In aggregate there was more than €3bn of client assets across 7,000 policies.The project had to address the system and product implications of this acquisition, with the core Information Security Workstream based in the Isle of Man. The outcome of this acquisition was too successfully on board the new book of business onto the Group’s IT infrastructure. I played a key role in supporting the Custody Workstream, to ensure the new book of business could successfully continue trading using the Group’s custodian platform. • Documented all as-is process specific to the existing Custody business being migrated. • Hosted all project workshops specific to the custody process redesign to on-board the new book of business onto the Group’s infrastructure. • Specified the system requirements to support the agreed custody to-be processes.• Identified host connections to send dealing instructions using an SFTP connection.• Designed the support model to be aligned with the to-be process and built scheduled reports for MI purposes. • Documented test cases and facilitated UAT. • Identified opportunities the group infrastructure could adapt as part of the migration; this included dealing changes and a complete redesign in the dividend schedule process.
