I am John Booth, since 2015, I have worked as a Data Engineer at Great Ormond Street Hospital (GOSH), a world leading paediatric hospital based in London, UK. My main responsibility has been to supply structured data to research projects. These projects have ranged from internal antimicrobial reviews to a collaboration with the Alan Turing Institute to investigate how ICU monitor data linked with patient demographics data could be used to try and predict patient extubation. Before joining GOSH I obtained an MSc In Health Informatics from Kingston University and while at GOSH I obtained an MSc in Data Science from Birkbeck College, London University. In September 2021 I commenced a part-time PhD at University College, London GOSH Institute of Child Health. My PhD is investigating the use of Graph Analytics on routinely collected electronic patient record (EPR) data to gain innovative insights to benefit patient progress. I also work as the Lead Data Engineer for the GOSH Charity funded Clinical Informatics Research Programme (CIRP).
