I am currently working as a Plant Operator for Ormat Technologies Inc. My tasks include monitoring and making adjustments to 2 geothermal and 2 solar power plants. I am responsible for ensuring the 4 power plants are operating as they should and we are creating as much power as possible/allowed. I am also responsible for any emergency shutdown operations and evacuations in the case of an emergency as well as controlled shutdown and startup procedures. My previous position was in the United States Air Force as active duty. I worked on our Intercontinental Ballistic Missile Nuclear weapon system. Part of my job included troubleshooting electronic and mechanical components of the missile as well as the missile silo and Missile Alert Facility. Another key task was required to do was the handling of top secret code components. I worked alongside engineers using technical orders to find and solve problems. Working in the Air Force granted me a Top Secret Security Clearance that will expire in October of 2023.
