Seed Terminator is a South Australian innovation company who's immediate purpose is to develop, manufacture and sell weed seed termination technology. In the role of product development engineer the responsibilities concentrated on pushing the design forward; increasing the efficiency and the improving the product for manufacturing processes.

Cornell Design offers professional, Mechanical and Electrical designers and drafters to work with their client’s engineering and design teams, servicing a broad range of industry throughout South Australia and Victoria.• Working to improve and develop an existing design on a placement with the client, interacting with the customer and end users to bring the design to its optimum.• Fulfilling project briefs from various departments within the business with successful solutions• Responding quickly and efficiently to short ad hoc projects without impacting the long-term projects• Creation of engineered 3D CAD models and technical drawings using SolidWorks• Running finite element analysis to prove designs• Leading prototype builds • Analysing and documenting tear downs of tested and trialled designs • Creation of decals, logos and marketing assets using Adobe software• Creation of build process documents

Proen delivers specialist product design, engineering and CAD drafting resources, providing consulting and contracting services.Responsible for: Working under client supervision, to produce designs and manufacturing drawings to their standards and specifications. Representing Proen in a professional manner whilstworking, either onsite or at the clients’ base. Using different CAD packages to suit the clients’ needs.

Starting a project by preparing a proposal showing a breakdown of service, cost and a time frame. Then working with the customer to develop their Idea, depending on the project, to finalise a design for their product. Through Elance projects I have designed a solid food baby bottle, several products marketing images, and unobtrusive doorstop and many more.

Responsible for:  Working with customers to agree initial concepts.  Product design using Solid Works 3D Design Package and FEA and Radan for programming CNC sheet metal lasers and plasmas. (Typical products include cabs, safety structures, chassis and other complex fabrications).  Responsible for creating Bill of Materials, sourcing bought-out items and costing.  Overseeing prototype build.  Test safety structures to FOPS and ROPS standards.  Customer sign-off.  Liaising with customers to finalise production design.  Set-up for production, including design and manufacture of jigs and fixtures.  Customers include Terex, JCB, Morgan, Johnson, and Linde.

Seconded to ABT Products Ltd on a two year contract, to work on a strategic project; supervised by Aston University. The project aim was the development and implementation of a product design process and capability to transform ABT from a manufacturer of sub-contract assemblies to a provider of complex original equipment.
