Responsible for the administration of all Police Department functions. Administration of the Police Department includes support for patrol officers, traffic division, criminal investigation, and related activities. Develops and implements policies and procedures to assure continuing efficient operations of all department functions.Formulate long-range goals and objectives for the Police Department, for the Village’s Emergency Management Services, and coordinates service and safety opportunities with the four Fire Protection Districts/Departments serving the Village of Hawthorn Woods. Duties include, but are not limited to, the administration of laws and ordinances, the prevention of crime, the coordination of emergency services, and working to ensure the safety of Village residents from both natural and other disasters.
