I am currently a Law Enforcement Officer with over 18 years experience. As a member of the Chesterfield County Police Department I strive to be an example of the Departments vision and mission. In my experience over the past 18 years I have learned that the title "Police Officer" is a multifaceted title meaning more than enforcing state and county laws. During my 18 years I have engaged consumers in conflict resolution, crisis intervention/management, complex criminal investigations, interviewing and interrogation, preservation of life, mentoring, teaching, instructing, department projects, innovation in tactics, and relationship building. I've taken numerous training courses to broaden my ability to function effectively in the aforementioned capacities. I've taken courses in crisis training, de-escalation, advanced interview and interrogations, fraud and counter fitting, cyber investigations, and many others. Skilled in de-escalation tactics, conflict resolution, leadership, information based decision making, information sharing, multi faceted criminal investigations, specialized training in defensive tactics instruction, training, and general instruction. In 2005 I earned a Bachelor of Science - BS focused in Criminology/Sociology from Averett University.
