I am an economist by training but I see myself more broadly as a problem-solver and creative thinker. I started my career in academia and worked as a lecturer and later a research manager. I moved from teaching economics to undertaking economic and financial consulting work. This evolved in the direction of public sector management consulting, and ultimately the Performance Budgeting System (PBS). I began working in the Unmanned Aerial Vehicle (UAV) field after my time with PBS ended, and decided to focus on the agricultural application of this technology. This resulted in the related businesses of X-Imaging and AgriDrone. What these work types have in common is a focus on creative problem solving through the application of technology. I remain interested in and involved in economic research, especially the international trade area. I also remain interested and involved in public finance and public sector management.
