During my previous contract at VCEA I recommended a new document management system M-Files. Alyve, the supplier of M-Files, asked me to be the project manager on the project because of my contacts at VCEA. I acted as the on-site contact and go-between for Alyve and VCEA. I arranged workshops to gather requirements, I held one-on-one interviews to ellicit detailed requirements. I created a project plan and monitored progress to that plan. I created a weekly status report detailing any problems, risks and progress. I created a risk register and a success plan.

VCEA was splitting from Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) who had been managing them. Metro Trains operate the suburban train services in Melbourne.Metro Trains is decommissioning several MS-Access 2003 databases.• I was responsible for producing the business requirements documents (BRDs) for 5 MS-Access 2003 databases. I studied the functionality of the Access databases, interviewed the database users and examined other methods of producing the same results.• From the business requirements I produced a Project Brief which proposed alternative solutions to the MS-Access databases using the current preferred technology.• The Project Brief was presented to the Department of Transport to obtain funding to complete the project.

Specialist Software used: Jira, Confluence, MS Office Stack, Tableau, Axiom, AWS Red ShiftDELWP is creating a financial reporting database for use within the department. The database is an AWS Red-Shift cloud-based system and is used to produce Financial Reports.• I was responsible for producing the business requirements documents (BRDs) for 17 management reports. These requirements described what the business expected from the report and was used by the report developers to produce the reports in Tableau.• The BRDs defined the data to be retrieved from the database. How the data was filtered. What was to be printed and any calculations to be performed.• I organised workshops to define the requirements.• I developed an overall standard format for all reports.• I liaised with the developers and the stakeholders to resolve problems with the Tableau report development.• I worked with the database engineers to get required content migrated from source systems and made available for Tableau reporting.• After the BRDs were all approved I joined the testing team. • I tested reports against the new standard format. • I tested reports for functionality against the BRDs.• I performed End to End testing matching source data to Tableau report data.• I created defects in Jira where defects were found during testing.• I retested defects after rectification.• DELWP are an Agile user and work was carried out using the Agile methodology in 2-week sprints.

NAB is creating a National Data Hub (NDH), a single source of data to be used for all reporting within the bank. The NDH is a cloud-based system and therefore introduces new risks for the bank and its regulatory authorities. A risk mitigation framework has been agreed with the regulatory authorities.• My initial task was to identifying the risk mitigation controls in the framework that should be applied to the NDH.• Each control was given a development priority with the most important to be implemented first.• Once the controls were identified I was part of a team that did a gap analysis to find out which controls had been applied and which were missing. This was completed with user interviews, workshops and document research.• All the research and the requirements were document on Confluence pages.• The final deliverable, a Gap Analysis, was a matrix showing the level of compliance for each technical capability (IT discipline) for each control.• From the matrix detailed requirements were generated for each technical capability component (system, application, etc). A Jira ticket being produced for each requirement.• The work has to be completed and evidence of compliance presented to the regulatory authority by the end of this financial year.• NAB are a committed Agile user and all work was carried out using the Agile methodology in 2-week sprints.

• CWW implemented Isometrix, a new Health, Safety, Environment, Quality and Risks (HSEQR) system that replaced many different legacy systems, across many departments.• I identified all the legacy data sources.• I negotiated with the business and established what and how much data to be migrated.• I created data mapping documents.• I created a combined pool of source data.• I cleansed this data, de-duplicated, corrected spelling mistakes and flagged invalid data.• I created data loading templates which were used to load data into the test, training and production environments.• I provided specialist support during the initial ‘Go-Live’ period.• The system was implemented successfully despite resistance to change by users and very tight budget constraints.

MS Access, SQL Server, SQL Server Management Studio 2012.I developed an Asset Management system for the Council in 1996, which is still being used. I provide some ongoing maintenance. Recently I migrated an MS Access database to SQL Server ensuring that all data was cleansed before migration and all the features of the Access client were available using the SQL Server database.

This involved meeting stores staff, engineering staff and asset management staff to identify candidate items. I then created the item master data and the assets classified by this item master data.• I visited sites to identify operational locations containing rotating assets.• Data was entered manually using Maximo front end and by Maximo Data Loaders.• I created many SQL procedures for auditing data entered by other users and for ensuring that business procedures involving Maximo were followed correctly. For example, ensuring item overhaul and repair procedures were followed.• I created many SQL procedures for reporting on the data in the Maximo database.• I assisted operational staff by cataloguing new items, creating new assets, processing inventory adjustments, etc.• I migrated data from the legacy Hansen system to Maximo.• Auditing and correcting asset data.• Created work instructions for training other users.• Created test case scenarios for training.• Provided support for Maximo users

JD Edwards Enterprise One Version 9.1, SQL Server Management Studio 2011, Maximo 6.2.4, Oracle• VLine changed their ERP software from Maximo 6.2.4 to JD Edwards Enterprise One Version 9.1• I migrated Asset, Work Order, Defect and Preventative Maintenance data from Maximo to JDE.• My tasks were to cleanse the data from Maximo, contact business users for clarification where necessary. Extract the appropriate data using Transact SQL. Translate this data into JDE Enterprise One templates, then load it into JDE Enterprise One using batch loader programs and Z1 files.• I defined and collected asset data for VLine Facilities (stations, depots, buildings, amenities, services, etc) which was not on the Maximo system. I then created a Preventative Maintenance Plan to satisfy business and legal compliance. This involves collating data from many sources to create assets data, dealing with VLine maintenance staff to establish compliance and maintenance requirements.• All procedures and processes have been documented so that they are repeatable and auditable.• This was a high pressure roll with tight implementation deadlines and involved late nights and weekend working.• Once the data migration was completed I took on a Business Systems Administrator role providing day-to-day technical expertise and system management to the Asset Systems Department. In this role I managed the System Change Request process, fault reporting and data changes.• I was involved in system and business process improvements including gathering and documenting requirements for new functionality.

Key Responsibilities• Developed a Street Asset Management System (SAMS) which recorded street asset financial and conditional data, provided valuations of Council’s assets and five-year plans for asset reconstruction. • Initially redeveloped the existing Roads and Lanes modules, then developed Storm Water Pits, Storm Water Drains, Lights, Road Signs and Street Furniture modules. • Subsequently developed Bridges, Street Trees and Bike Paths modules.• Modified SAMS to display additional information particular to a selected street, e.g., maps, Council plans, pictures, video files, word documents, etc., by invoking the appropriate software to view the document.• Wrote operating manual in dynamic HTML and Javascript using CSS style sheets and frames. Map pages allowed users to click on image and receive context sensitive help.• Conducted conditional survey of all roads and lanes on behalf of Council. As part of my property investment business I sold several properties and spent the year planning and managing the subdivision and building of four townhouses on a property purchased in Adelaide in July 2008. From this experience I improved my project management skills.

Business Objects used for user interface and datamarts. • Developed new subject areas, maintained existing subject areas. • Developed system to extract metadata from SAP and load it to Access-based metadata tool.
