I quickly and successfully developed a non-asset based nationwide parcel delivery solution by leading a postal professional and training a small team of hands on young graduates. This included extensive travel to qualify locations and establish KPI’s and SOP's. I was effective in choosing the right vendor (courier), standardizing rates, building relationships with integrity, negotiating contracts. I was instrumental in promoting and developing operational changes across 3 facilities to secure what became a Top 5 multiple location shipper that required special timing of shipping and receiving to maintain production. I hired, trained and managed sales representatives across ND and MN which included joint calling and corporate support. I directed facility and linehaul changes to optimize operations for better freight flow and service. I was highly effective in operations and labor relations across IBT Union facilities, non-owned Agency stations and the non-union sister company within the states of MN, ND, SD maintaining uninterrupted and smooth service. I successfully implemented the realignment of ND facilities taking them from union to non-union.

As Regional Sales Director I lead a team of 28 sales representatives in the most productive region meeting or exceeding goals by 10-15%. This included hiring, setting and monitoring goals, analyzing and reviewing pricing programs, as well as making joint calls in the states of MN, ND, SD, IA, WI. While in the National Account position - Manager of Logistics Marketing I restructured our billing procedures for a Multi level 3PL and recovered $80,000 in receivables. I travelled 25% of the time for onsite sales and presentations that I created. I was on the team that included the Pricing Department to analyze, develop and complete RFP's on time for my 3PL accounts as well as National Accounts.
