Directed the statewide staffing and event management for travel to the state of Florida by Secretary Clinton, President Clinton, President Obama, Vice President Biden, and other key principals. Additional responsibilities included authoring and managing key components of Secretary Clinton's briefing materials, staffing Secretary Clinton and key principals at events, and developing successful data analysis and application systems to maximize the impact of principal travel.Campaigns rely on principals (the candidate and key figures) and surrogates (elected officials, celebrities, and everyday people) who can tell the candidate's story. As Deputy Director for Principal & Surrogate Engagement for Florida, I used my time to identify inefficiencies in the traditional principal and surrogate system and built solutions that measurably increased voter participation and voter goal numbers for the campaign where it was operated.

Appointed by President Obama. Managed the logistics, security, and public engagement for the OPM Director on official travel, including external coordination with public stakeholders, the private sector, and law enforcement. Staffed and managed principal trips to 36 states. Managed internal coordination with the Office of the Director, the Office of Diversity & Inclusion, and the Office of Communications. Coordinated the daily briefing for the OPM Director while providing analysis and editing.Special Project: Triaged OPM’s initial customer service response to foreign data breach incidents and rebuilt it into a successful model for an impacted population of 4.1 million individuals. Reduced average response time from five weeks to 3.1 hours.

Appointed by President Obama.Managed the public roll-out of multiple Presidential Executive Orders and Presidential Initiatives on workforce diversity and hiring reform, including.internal communications and press strategy. Initiated the federal effort to adopt the best workforce and innovation practices of the technology sector. Results included the building of the Federal Government’s first Innovation Lab, subsequently replicated by the White House.

Directed media strategy and research for the national organization lesbian, gay, bisexual, and transgender (LGBT) Democrats and its 90 chapters. Led media training for numerous community advocates and candidates for public office. Advised numerous Democratic campaigns and ballot initiatives regarding communication and stakeholder engagement. Co-built the delegate selection process for under-served communities for the 2004 and 2008 Democratic National Conventions which increased LGBT representation by 239%. Provided strategic assistance to presidential, congressional, and local campaigns.
