John Hess is the founder of Hess Advantage, Inc. a workforce solutions company that partners with non-profit and for profit organizations to support and expand their workforce training programs and hiring initiatives. After spending over a decade in the investment industry, John focused his energy and passion for economic development to the workforce development space. In 2008 Hess Advantage was formed to help non-profit organizations manage their internship, work experience and transitional jobs programs as a means to move people disconnected from the workforce into meaningful employment. As an incentive to hire these trained individuals, his company assists employers in capturing the federal and state tax credits associated with hiring. John's primary focus is developing relationships with individuals and organizations across the country, providing value to their programs and increasing their profitability.
