The Fire Arts Center is a non-profit arts education center. I designed and developed the organization's website (my first website) and continue to maintain as needed. The new site helped the center leap to the top of search results for key phrases they needed to connect with potential students. The improvement also helped get a TV news segment which drew in even more students.The most recent iteration of the site involved experimenting with a build system to automate building and deploying the site. The bulk of the design leaned on TailwindCSS utility classes and configuration. I used a combination of Jekyll, Gulp, and PostCSS to generate the site. It also used Netlify's continuous integration/deployment tools to test, build, and deploy the site based on Github branches and pull requests. Arguably all overkill for a one-person team, but it was fun and gave me a chance to play with some new toys. Plus it did make updates a quick process.I have also served as the Secretary on the Board of Directors and assisted with foundry classes.
