Created and maintained Chancellor’s LinkedIn profile. • Supervised the University Relations Coordinator and worked with them to manage, integrate and expand the university’s social media presence while increasing communication with students through social media platforms. • Presented to groups including all UAFS faculty, the UAFS Foundation Board and the university’s executive committee. • Led or co-led projects of institutional importance for the Chancellor, including the creation and implementation of the Adult Degree Completion Program, the UAFS Promise fixed tuition program, a task force to revise the university’s advising model and a retention assessment. • Wrote mission-driven features for various stakeholder groups highlighting student and faculty accomplishments, community outreach initiatives, grants and university programs. ● Taught and Foundational Composition, a remedial course; Composition 1, a general writing course; and Composition 2, a literature course. ● Prepared weekly lesson plans over compositional techniques and communicated these lessons clearly and effectively to an average of 70 students per semester spread out across three classes. ● Monitored classroom discussions over the student’s readings, and assigned topical in-class writing assignments to encourage critical thinking. ● Fostered a personal student-driven classroom environment.

● Worked approximately 10 hours a week in the university’s writing lab, which saw an average of over 300 students per semester. ● Critiqued students’ essays and communicated suggestions and lessons to improve the quality of their writing.

● Organized and conducted over 100 interviews in six months of work. ● Wrote weekly feature stories over a variety of local residents for a paper with a circulation of over 10,000 people. ● Wrote daily news and community-related stories, as well as stories highlighting educational programs across six school districts in the River Valley area. ● Helped manage The Courier’s social media, including its Facebook page and Twitter feed. Posted daily content and interacted with readers commenting on the stories.

● Oversaw the production of five football preview magazines covering over 100 teams in Arkansas. ● Interviewed coaches and wrote corresponding preview articles, as well as interviewed notable River Valley athletes for feature stories. ● Thoroughly proofread each magazine for errors in both content and advertising information.

● Worked the 07-08 school year as the newspaper’s sports editor. Managed the content and layout of the weekly sports page, met time-intensive weekly deadlines. As a sports editor, covered sporting events and interviewed coaches and players.● Worked as staff writer for three years as an undergraduate. Conducted interviews for weekly news stories, and also wrote book, movie, and music reviews for the newspaper’s lifestyles section.

● Covered the Hector Wildcats for two seasons. Attended home games, interviewed coaches and players post-game, and wrote summaries of each game.
