UG students will come back into their final year more clearly aligned to their career path. For PG students there are three routes for a placement; a 3-month internship, 6 or 12 month placement. The PG has five intakes each academic year with approx. 900 students p.a.. I have a large team that support the progress and any day-to-day academic issues. Most students working on student visa’s, I work closely with the Home Office Compliance team to ensure from an academic perspective the team and students are kept UKVI compliant. Student Voice is 4.5/5 overall satisfaction for this module.I'm the Young Enterprise (YE) lead for the Start-Up Programme on the 'Young Enterprise' Level 5 module delivered across the UG Business Suite. I introduced this module in 2020 as it allows the students to set up their own company and make their first company decisions as a team in their degree programme specialist area. Students learn for their experience working in team with their peers and mentors to gain valuable experience working in project teams on project launches, controlling finances and share prices to develop and give them an early insight of valuable entrepreneurial and enterprise skills, leading into focus on their future employability skills post-graduation. This is currently a multi-award winning as our student alumni have been trailblazers, with one team 'hearnprotect' becoming the best start start up team in Europe 2022. Salford hosted the Young Enterprise UK Final in 2023, which coincided with YE's 60th Charter. I was delighted that HRH The Princess Royal accepted my invitation as her attending made impact to student experience. Show less

In addition, it has been externally accredited with the Institute of Leadership and Management (ILM), then latterly the Chartered Management Institute (CMI) as well as being Higher Degree Apprenticeship ready. I led and supported on specified programme initiatives; for example, NSS, student engagement or assessment and feedback. Therefore, I provide a connection between academic, professional staff, international and professional standards in order to ensure an effectively joined up approach to the academic and operational aspects of managing the student academic experience within the programme. The work undertaken by myself and the programme team produced some very satisfying results with the Good University Guide, with the programme producing the second largest move in the sector, moving up 27 places and being ranked 82 from 120. The programme structure then produced further successes in the following years with a further 14 place rise to be 67th and then another 32 place rise to be ranked 35th in the sector for 2022/23. During the final year of delivery the students reported an above sector experience in the NSS 2023, with more sustained performances in programme ranking performance published in the Guardian.
