Provide management and leadership of the LMS technology program, overseeing the IT system infrastructure and engaging those involved in classroom technology integration.

I seek to encourage this congregation, through words, example, and organizational leadership, to encounter God’s story and to enjoy and practice the love of Jesus with one another, neighbors, and the world.I invest my energy and time in conversations, preaching and teaching, administration, prayer and reflection, and relating with staff.

A balance of general pastoral responsibilities on the one hand, and tasks and relationships specific to children, youth, and young adults on the other. I therefore engage in building relationships with young people, organizing events, planning and leading worship, "up front" leadership such as preaching, teaching, and facilitating congregational sharing, and personal interaction with others (listening, asking questions, and encouraging).

Joined with a team of software engineers to create and manage the public-facing web site, as well as web applications for university faculty, staff, and students. Toward this end, I learned to use Ruby on Rails, PHP, and occasional Perl.

Led a team of student community advisers in managing a residence hall and meeting the residential needs (social and physical) of university students.

I assisted in growing and maintaining IT services in an academic setting. I serviced desktop computers, Windows, Linux and Apple, as well as a Windows Active Directory and Terminal Server infrastructure.I learned a great deal about the challenges of transitioning an IT infrastructure, the importance of listening and encouraging, and the pitfalls of unilateral change.

Half of the classes I taught consisted of 8th graders, the other half were grades 11 and 12. I taught subjects including English literature, grammar, vocabulary, composition, research and debate, as well as Bible study and Christian living.
