Built models in Inventor and in Rhino and used models in FEAs and GHS Stability analyses. Liaised with the coast guard and ABS to ensure all designs and documentation met or exceeded statutory regulations while delivering vessels on time.- Created scantlings and stability using GHS for hopper barges, including 'Richmond Express' for Norfolk Tug, working with ABS to certify as load line vessel as featured in Maritime Reporter.- Composed scantlings and trusses for several deck barges including 1st desk barge Jeffboat had made in 5 years; barge supported loads of 10K+ psf for carrying loaded trucks for Nucor Steel.- Designed scantlings, vapor systems, and stability for numerous hot oil and clean service barges, meeting USCG regulations and customer requirements.- Diagnosed and developed 100+ repairs on barges timely, ensuring structural integrity and meeting or exceeding ABS and USCG design guidelines.
