Product Support Specialist
Alpharetta, Georgia, United States
My duties in this role were to support the V7.8, V11.0, V11.1 SP1, V11.2, and V15.0. This was for the Recording side of our product. This was recording VOIP, TDM, Screen Capture, Encryption, SSL, and Microsoft Server maintenance.I learned so much from this position, both from the product, the Microsoft servers, and my Co-workers. I always put the customer first, and strived to fix their issue no matter how long it took. I quickly became adept at reading complicated system logs after getting into work early on most days, and understanding the flow of the logs. This experience has increased my troubleshooting experience, and capabilities. From this, I also extended one of my most firm workplace belief "If the entire group understands a concept, it makes the group stronger, more capable, and able to handle more complicated issues easier." I sent multiple emails out to my Recording team members on concepts that I found that helped to either read logs, or how to fix a new issue that a customer just encountered. I also sent out emails to customer (that were approvied by the company), on how to read our logs so that they would become enabled to troubleshoot the issue before they contacted us. There were several customers that I worked with that other co-workers disliked working with (due to time demands, and the information that they brought forward), however, I preferred working with these customers. I enabled these customers to the point where they only opened tickets when they got stuck troubleshooting an issue and needed immediate help. Even after I left support, I had these customers asking for me to come back. From this role, I worked towards moving into the Product House sector of Verint so that I could get closer to my career goal of working internally, and working to better the product that I supported. (That being QA, or Dev)I left this position when I was recognized, and promoted into Product House to work with the Public Safety team.
