Serves as the surgical physician assistant for the general surgery clinic at Evans Army Community Hospital and as the phase two clinical coordinator for the Interservice Physician Assistant Program. Provide outpatient care in the general surgery clinic to include seeing new consults, pre and post operative evaluations, history and physicals, minor procedures. Provide inpatient care including daily rounds. Serve as first assist in the operating room. Provide on call services for the general surgery service. Maintain clinical rotation schedule, administer tests, and conduct weekly training for all PA students. Maintain National Commission on the Certification of Physician Assistants accreditation by completing all required continuing medical education. Maintain credentials. Mentor physician assistant and medical students. Serve as the program director for the General Surgery Physician Assistant Fellowship and military liaison to the American Association of Surgical Physician Assistants.
