Writing is my passion. In the practice of law, I apply that passion to forge convincing, creative, thorough, and accessible written work product for my clients. Beyond my day-to-day written work, I also teach 1L legal writing as an adjunct professor and contribute to various publications, from law reviews to science fiction anthologies. Reading was my world as a kid, and I’m happy that I get to build on that world by being paid to write as an adult. I view the other part of my practice, oral advocacy, as bringing the arguments on the page to life in the courtroom. To me, a good speaker is straightforward, authentic, and never takes him- or herself too seriously. Good trial lawyers know their case and know the law. Great trial lawyers take their own ego out of the equation when delivering that information.
