An escaped academic neuroscientist who applied the brainy bits from science and psychology to creating positive & profitable customer experiences. Board level advisor to commercial companies (e.g. EDF, Virgin Holidays, easyJet, Kier) and government (NHS, Cabinet Office, NI government).Bought and renovated a hostel half way up Helvellyn mountain in the UK lake district (a building I first lusted after aged 15) now bought a second in Bannau Brycheiniog. Took part in Clipper round the world sailing race in 2013/14, completed half iron man triathalon (and others) in 2016, 6 marathons and a 100K ultra in 2017/18, 4 x 50+ mile Mountain ultras in 2021/22. Finished the 268 mile winter spine race 2024 & the 240 mile Dragons Back race 2024- two of the world's most difficult ultras.Died on my arse trying stand up comedy in 2015 (am going to try again!). Profitable poker player.

I lead and authored the accessibility standards definition and policy, and was principle designer and investigator for secondary care drug administration (a complex and mission critical interface) - also collaborated on prescribing, patient banner and various other healthcare specific designs and standards.
