Search-Ads Infrastructure: Ads Journeys Team (80% time)• Updated unowned logging infrastructure to support changes for the Search/Ads interface API—reducing cost of ownership and improving latency for Search users by an estimated 1 millisecond, which translates to 8 Software Engineer incomes for the course of their careers.• Migrated and updated code from unowned legacy C++ APIs, while unblocking latency improvements to users.• Developed a consolidated API for determining web client capabilities. Fixing incorrect triggering of features in 11% of Google traffic.• Worked across C++ and Java in GWS, one of Google's oldest, largest, and most complicated binaries.• Proactively identified and drove opportunities to remove legacy product behavior and simplify code.Radiotherapy Team (20% time)• In collaboration with Mayo Clinic, developed a ML model to estimate dose for proton radiotherapy treatments via TensorFlow/Python resulting in a publication (under review).• Assisted in the development (label accuracy, debugging, data augmentation, image registration, etc) of an image segmentation pipeline for labeling Organs-at-Risk in CT images.

Develop radiation therapy treatment plans for patients including those undergoing special procedures such as Stereotactic Radiation TherapyImplement new technologies in the clinic such as Brainlab Elements, ArcCheck, LINAC comissioning.Research includes automated Brachytherapy digitization of CT images using TensorFlow and Python as well as dosimetry analysis of PET-based Linacs.
