In… Show more Primary responsibility is ensuring the design for Microsoft Unified Communications solutions and then performing the deployment of the solution. These solutions primarily use Microsoft Lync Server/Skype for Business and Exchange Server Unified Messaging. Each solution involved working closely with the customer and if present the PBX channel partner to ensure the design would interoperate within their existing voice and data environment, and also meet their business objectives. In preparation for deployment, assessed each customer’s infrastructure for Active Directory, Windows Server, Exchange Server, LAN/WAN, server and communication of hardware readiness. Worked with customers, channel partners and Project Managers to ensure a smooth delivery of the solution. Many of the solutions involved Nortel/Avaya voice products and also non-Nortel voice products such as the Audiocodes/Sonus gateways connecting to Nortel PBXs, 3rd party PBXs or the public telephone system. This role involves travel nationwide or working remotely with customers to deliver the solution.The Senior Unified Communications Architect position also served as team lead and escalation point for problems encountered during deployments by other Time2Market Engineers.
