Technology and Product leader with over 20 years experience building BigData solutions, internet software, web platforms, products and teams.Experiences include leading medium sized engineering orgs (Wattpad) creating new core business functions (BigData at Kobo), leading and architecting software development (BlastRadius CMS), and deep web technical experience (Wattpad, Kobo, Indigo, BlastRadius)Was a founding team member at Kobo, a global leader in eReading founded in December of 2009 as a spin out from Indigo Book sand Music, which was sold to Japanese Internet & eCommerce giant Rakuten in January of 2012. Kobo operates in nearly every country in the world, sells over 4 Million unique books and offers a full line of Mobile Applications, eReaders and Tablets, of which I have had the opportunity to work on nearly all of, at one time or another. The technical details of any solution are key to its success, so I have been sure to retail my technical skill set over the years.Specialties include: BigData, Machine Learning, Hadoop, Storm, Unix, Agile development methodologies, team and product development.
