Coaching ► I am a UEFA Pro Licence holder. I first started my coaching badges in 2007 with the Scottish FA. Progressing quickly to UEFA A Licensed Level, before completing the Scottish FA UEFA Pro Licence in 2020 with visits to Italy and Holland. I coached various youth clubs to gain experience across all levels, coaching local amateur teams. I started coaching full time at Heart of Midlothian with reserves and under 18’s in 2018, I also led the B team in the domestic lower league cup competitions. I became Assistant Manager at Hamilton Academical in 2021.Football ► I am a former professional footballer having started my career in 1999. I played for Manchester United, Ross County, Inverness Caledonian Thistle, Hibernian, Dundee United, Falkirk, Queen of the South and Clyde before retiring in 2020. I appeared in well over 600 games, in which over 300 were in Scotland’s top league. Appearing for Scotland B once.Media Pundit ► I have been a media pundit since 2009 I have worked on the radio and TV footballing programmes for BBC Scotland covering live games, co commentating on big games, appearing on results programmes and also Sportscene highlights show for league games, both Scottish Cup and League Cup finals live on TV. Since retiring from playing I have been part of SKY Sports team analysing live top flight matches in Scotland as a studio guest. PFA Scotland Chairman ► I was the chairman of PFA Scotland for over 5 years. During my tenure, we were able to:-expand the PFAS’ education and transition service, as well as bring in a Personal Development Officer-set up a full support programme to look after players Mental Health and Wellbeing-hold regular meetings with the SPFL to discuss issues to push for change for the betterment of the players-sit on various SFA working groups allowing them to have a say on issues which affect players on and off the pitch.CONTACT ► For all football, coaching, management and media enquiries, please contact me at jgrankin@sky.com
