• My role as Cost Engineering Director was to partner with the footwear divisional VP to provide Cost Engineering coverage to 6 distinct footwear categories, assuring that each team was well supported throughout the.
• Established educational curriculum rooted in cost engineering principles, which was then administered cross-functionally to all disciplines of product creation.
• Led multifunctional travel teams to Asia, optimizing product and processes associated with costing strategy.
• Collaborated with Asia and Nike Headquarters partners on development of a new costing framework for all of Nike Footwear, directly affecting over $14B in annual expense.

• As Cost Engineering Manager, we were immersed in a function new to Nike. Roles and responsibilities, product engagement, reporting, headcount increases, and ongoing education were in the scope for this role.
• Partnered with peers to create roles and responsibilities for fledgling function at Nike.
• Expanded headcount on team by 400% in less than 24 months.
• Created roadmap for cost engineers to use when engaging with product creation teams across footwear.
• Initiated quarterly communication of cost savings by product category to Nike Footwear Leadership.
• Saved over $28M over 4 years in product cost.

• I was able to drive process improvements that reduced energy usage, process steps, and cycle times while increasing product quality and worker safety.
• Advanced atmospheric plasma process that eliminated need for rubber surface priming.

• Immersed in the world of footwear manufacturing, I was part of a team that installed and commercialized a footwear manufacturing cell in Beaverton, OR tasked with making Nike iD product for end consumers.
• Spent total of 12 weeks onsite with multiple Asia factory partners immersed in end-to-end footwear manufacturing processes.
• Designed, developed, installed, and qualified 1-of-a-kind footwear production machinery.
• Commercialized Nike's first single component adhesive in production.

• I was responsible for process development and improvement in manufacture of Nike Air product, including Nike’s first true full-length Air Max airbag.
