About Stephanie Baker
I graduated from Biola University with a degree in English before taking the Columbia Publishing Course and beginning my career in publishing. I was a part of the inaugural Editorial Services team at HarperCollins, the first in-house team of proofreaders for the company. As such, I helped develop many best-practices guides and standards for our team, including leading training presentations, first as an assistant and later as an associate and team lead, even as our responsibilities and role in the company changed as we took on more production editor work as well as proofreading. I am a detail-oriented self-starter with strong copyediting, proofreading, and organizational skills. I'm also a leader who works well on a team and individually, and is capable of managing several tasks and responsibilities with varying due dates while working remotely. Some key titles that I have worked on: The Bladebone by Ausma Zehanat Khan, The Seventh Queen by Greta Kelly, The Burning God by R. F. Kuang, You Had Me at Hola by Alexis Daria, So We Meet Again by Suzanne Park, First Comes Like by Alisha Rai, All the Feels by Olivia Dade, A Runner's High by Dean Karnazes, Learning to Pray by James Martin, Yellowface by R. F. Kuang, The Little Liar by Mitch Albom, Julia by Sandra Newman, The Mystic Jesus by Marianne Williamson, The Leftover Woman by Jean Kwok, The Big Reveal by Sasha Velour, A Living Remedy by Nicole Chung, American Ramble by Neil King Jr., Double or Nothing by Kim Sherwood, A Century of American Toys and Games by Jim Pressman, Norman Rockwell: Drawings, 1911–1976 by Stephanie Haboush Plunkett, Tony Sarg: Genius at Play by Stephanie Haboush Plunkett and Lenore D. Miller, and Mythical Creatures by Lauren Bucca.
