As a sales manager, I was responsible for the training and development of employees in the mobile and connected life spaces. We grew our mobile business to lead our district in revenue and units despite having larger, higher total revenue stores. I led by example, showing what was possible by putting in the work myself, and then showing others how to do it with their own words, music, and dance.

During this time, I held many leadership roles in the Lafayette store. First, I oversaw customer service as the Front-End Lead in which we saw top 1% performance in the company. Then, as a supervisor in the computing space, I helped send three different employees to our Achievers event, reserved for the best of the best in the company. I then moved into the mobile space, where I helped develop five different employees into their own leadership roles.

I was responsible for diagonsing and recommending repairs for client devices, managing relationships with clients on counter, and working with clients and management to solve client issues.

I designed and maintained both company corporate websites. I also designed direct mail, brochures,promotional pieces, signs, and tradeshow banners. I would work with ad agencies and printers to ensure that projects were done right and on time. I gained experience creating and editing video, doing press checks, and working on email marketing campaigns.

I worked in the Connection Center and Photo Lab for the majority of my time at Wal-Mart. Selling cellular phones and plans, digital cameras, and developing photographs. I worked in the Kokomo and Terre Haute Wal-Marts, and later I worked for the Connection Center and Electronics department in Monticello, IN.

I ran a cash register, worked on the floor in hardlines and softlines, ran stock, unloaded the truck, and sold Target VISA cards.I lead the store in Target VISA applications on a routine basis, despite being part-time.

I assisted in both the design and production of vinyl stickers for various companies, the primary being TGT, a client of Graphics Lab that sells bumper stickers for vacation spots across the United States. With Throttle Jockey, Graphics Lab’s sister company, I assisted in the production of motocross graphics for retail sale and for the Team Honda Supercross team, including the graphics for the motorcycle of multiple title-holder Ricky Charmichel
