Board MemberAmplifier Aug 2016 - PresentAmplifier is a design lab dedicated to amplifying the voices of grassroots movements through art and community engagement; we build visual campaigns that change the national narrative. The nonprofit's goal is to flip artists into activists and observers into participants. Recent national endeavors include supporting the #WomensMarchMovement and #MarchForOurLives, and conceiving and launching #WeThePeople, a campaign that commissioned and distributed nonpartisan art by purchasing print ad space on Inauguration Day in The Washington Post, USA Today and The New York Times. Those images promote dignity, freedom from fear and basic protections for all Americans, and have shown up at events worldwide. #WeThePeople has been featured in numerous media outlets since its debut in mid-January 2017, when Amplifier completed a Kickstarter campaign with an initial goal of $60,000 that ultimately raised $1.3M from more than 22,000 backers.
