My journey began with a 1960 Austin Healey Sprite, which I fully restored to award-winning specification. This hands-on experience with mechanical and electrical systems ignited my passion for engineering. I then worked as a collision technician and auto-body painter, further honing my skills.In 2021, I began studying mechanical engineering at the University of Alabama. I secured a Co-op with Michelin in 2022, working for BFGoodrich in Tuscaloosa (BFG3), where I gained experience in manufacturing, quality, reliability, and safety.Parallel to my studies and work at Michelin, I have served as a Systems Design and Integration undergraduate technical lead for the UA EcoCAR team. I’m currently in my fourth year with the EcoCAR team recreating various systems for team designed BEV Cadillac LYRIQ and HEV Chevrolet Blazer RS. Some significant items include: structural performance matching of modified vehicle components, packaging of replacement powertrain components (space claim, mount design, crash analysis, manufacturing plans), managing and training team members, installation and integration of team added components (mechanical, thermal, electrical). These experiences and challenges continue to fuel my passion for automotive design and engineering.
