Biomedical Devices Lab▪ Inventing algorithms to correlate geometry and MRI variables to improve total knee replacement (TKR) surgeries

MCL Project: ▪ Performed soft tissue dissections and drilling of 6 sheep stifles and subjected to tensile loading until failure to understand the mechanical properties of healthy, intact MCLs. Then, generated tensile data for MCLs repaired with various repair prototypes to understand potential benefit of collagen-integrated sutures.Presenting author for poster at Biomedical Engineering Society (BMES) National Conference, San Antonio, Oct. 2022Hip Project: ▪ Designed a novel apparatus with software control to produce 700±1 lbs. of vertical force and measure key outputs (e.g., tool displacement) for characterization of hip implants for patients with sclerotic bone▪ Organizing weekly lab meeting agendas and assigning discussion topics for 14 people

Collaborated closely with MD Anderson Cancer Center's research team to develop software solutions for analyzing whole slide images, facilitating precise tumor classification and aiding in oncology research.

▪ Developed an in vivo test method and protocol to study perfusion of oncolytic virotherapy in mouse tumor models▪ Applied material science techniques to explore solubility and functionality of coatings for a novel medical device concept

▪ Built an Arduino-driven mechanism for creation of early prototypes; fabricated subcomponents using SolidWorks and 3D printing. Assessed device prototype functionality and iterated design, as needed

Aircraft Wing Project:▪ Inventing multifunctional aerospace structures by leveraging computational finite element analysis. ▪ 3-D printing candidate designs and subsequently subjecting them to mechanical testing.▪ Manufactured a custom testing rig to submit 3D-printed composite structures infilled with Sylgard, to biaxial tension and compression tests.

Managed public activities and corrected misbehavior to ensure patrons' safety.
