I truly believe it is NOT the pursuit of happiness but the Happiness of Pursuit! I am at my happiest when driving exciting projects, solving tough problems, and getting creative with ways to implement and improve processes all while connecting, collaborating, and commiserating with the team surrounding me. I am so thankful to have discovered clinical research while networking during a career change. The industry has provided me the opportunity to progress through positions of varying complexity - from my start as a clinical study associate to director of clinical operations. It has provided the ability to grow and learn on a daily basis and to lead challenging and interesting projects and teams. It has been a pursuit of great joy! And it’s exciting to feel a part of something bigger than me that is impacting people's lives.Other things I believe:• When others succeed, I succeed also.• It’s not a competition – we all cross the finish line together.• I am never too important to walk the proverbial factory floor (or work the assembly line).• To get the best from others you build them up, not put them down.• People want to feel recognized, seen, and appreciated. I play the way I work, taking pride in making our home more efficient, rearing our children to be responsible adults, getting involved in organizations that are solving hard problems, and pushing myself in my leisure activities - skiing, hiking, jogging, and physical fitness. When I'm not pushing myself toward a goal, you might find me engrossed in a good book, gazing into a campfire, basking in nature, connecting with friends, or creating something.These are the pursuits that make me happy!
