Worked with clients to create competitive grant proposals for foundations and for state and federal funding opportunities.

Responsible for managing a grants portfolio of $1.4 million to support the agency’s programmatic and advocacy efforts through renewal of past funding and prospecting for new funders. Also, responsible for all grant reporting and ensuring deliverables are met.

Responsibilities: Supporting and coaching local NPF chapters with implementing Moving Day Walks for Parkinson’s by developing print materials, best practices, sample documents and templates, content for written and electronic communications to stakeholders, and delivering formal training. Also responsible for building relationships with national sponsors for local team presence and increased cash support. Other duties include managing a direct report for Moving Day Miami, and leading an internal committee for the office relocation in 2013.Major achievements:• Developed and implemented in-person training to chapters in group settings• Increased the support of a regional partner from $25,000 to $50,000• Guided the Central & Southeast Ohio Chapter in securing their first ever chapter wide corporate partnership of $25,000• Led efforts with the Heartland Chapter to more than double event revenue from $42,000 to $103,000 in two years.• Implemented social media strategy through Facebook and Twitter in collaboration with Digital Marketing Manager.

Responsibilities: Managed the Family Team components for the Walk to Cure Diabetes which raised $402,000 for the 2010 event. Guided the logistics committees for both the Walk to Cure Diabetes and the annual Rainbow Gala. Additional responsibilities included managing the annual Tee Up to Cure Diabetes golf event ($84,000), supporting local cyclists’ fundraising for the Ride to Cure Diabetes, and serving as the staff liaison for the West Virginia Branch.

Responsibilities: Managed walking events across the 19 county service area including creating fundraising websites through Kintera, building volunteer committees for five locations, soliciting corporate sponsorship, recruiting walk teams, and providing customer service to walkers and teams.
