Kate leads NACTO's transit practice and Climate Challenge work, coordinating across NACTO members and Climate Challenge partners to help cities and transit agencies accelerate their efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions. Kate manages a cross-cutting team at NACTO that as part of the Climate Challenge developed contextual design guidance, lead design.

Greater Seattle Area

As the Northeast District Planner in Transit Route Facilities, Kate led bus stop improvements for the Metro capital program, King County jurisdictions, regional transit agencies, and private developers. Kate was also the passenger facilities lead for Sound Transit North Link light rail integration, including the University District and Northgate stations.

San Francisco Bay Area

Managed public outreach and government affairs for major transit and safety projects including Safer Market Street, Better Market Street, Geary Bus Rapid Transit, and Lombard Safety Improvements. Led affiliated event planning, public outreach campaigns, and managed project CRMs. Supported project delivery and planning tasks including evaluating demographic.
