Contribute to the identification, development and support of strategic partnership opportunities that support CFP in meeting the organizations 2020 goals by reviewing and assisting with development of partner contracts, service agreements, grants or MOUs. Provide consultation, technical assistance and recommendations to Director Child Welfare Partnerships, staff, field offices and other state/county tribal systems improvement partners in developing and implementing strategic partnerships. Provide technical assistance to jurisdictions or targeted agencies, groups, or systems as needed and identified through strategic consulting. Identifies potential partnership opportunities, evaluates for relevance to the outcomes identified, and makes well informed recommendations for beginning, transitioning, or ending partnerships. Make recommendations to director regarding partnership status, contract and grant negotiations throughout year; develop contingency plans for each partner for course of year. Key Results: accurate and timely development of contracts and invoices for multiple partners. Assessed and closed A/P on a monthly and quarterly basis resulting in coming within 1% of $2.5 million budget, a savings of $22,500. Validated content and resolved various issues like renegotiating contract terms.

Managed, coordinated and monitored the work of the Prevention & Family Support team by obtaining input and buy-in from internal cross-functional work units for proposed prevention initiatives. Conducted extensive research for Casey programs and/or initiatives, including recruiting partners for Powerful Families and coordinating focus groups, monitoring and evaluating programs and staff to ensure success. Guided and conducted research for new Powerful Families curriculum development. Managed product development and coordinated all contracts associated with work efforts. Facilitated Powerful Families curriculum (Advocacy, Financial Literacy & Economic Justice, Leadership and Family Dynamics) as needed by community agencies. Ensured accountability mechanisms by writing program guidelines and accountability tools. Wrote promotional materials and all needed correspondence to community partners. Key Results: Co-developed signature family support program consisting of three curriculum areas: Financial Literacy, Advocacy and Community Leadership called Powerful Families for families at-risk of entering child welfare system. Developed business plan and budget including management of $2.2 million budget; completion of all finance reports as needed. Ninety-seven percent of partners reached program sustainability by 3rd year (75/78 partners) which saved CFP $750,000 annually.

Assisted in the analysis and implementation of Strategy Team decisions and initiatives, including working with Research Department to prepare analysis of strategic yardsticks for the organization. Led projects, including summarizing and analyzing issues and/or researching practices of interest, including development of environmental scan of child welfare system. Planned, coordinated, implemented and supervised all recreational, social, cultural and educational classes/programs for children/youth/teens, including recruitment of volunteer instructors and coaches. Responsible for developing program policies and procedures, weekly reports, flyers, posters and brochures.Responsible for supervision, evaluation and determining contract fees for over 20 instructors. Developed and maintained program budgets for on-going programs and special events. Publicized and promoted center programs including making presentations to external audiences such as Burien City Council, community members and local businesses. Key Results: Developed and implemented first Late Night program for at risk youth ages 12-18, including negotiating with Burien School District for facility usage. Responsible for program design, recruitment, hiring and supervision of staff and volunteers and developing funding sources to cover for example cost of security, field trips, etc.

Management of 5,000 square foot multi-purpose community center, which included recruiting, supervising, training and evaluating 50+employees and numerous volunteers for three recreation centers for over seven (7) years. Built productive work teams through leadership, motivation, accountability and recognition. Dealt with personnel issues as they arose and implemented conflict resolution strategies for staff, volunteers and participants. Developed and managed programs and budgets of over $500,000 for special events, youth and adult classes/programs, youth and adult sports leagues, senior and specialized classes serving over 5000 people annually. Recruited, trained and supervised up to 25 paid employees; built productive teams through leadership, motivation, accountability and recognition; facilitate conflict resolution for both staff and participants. Key Results: Led community and staff through selection for new recreation building through public meetings; successful transition to new building which resulted in seamless programming. Recruitment of full advisory board during three year tenure. Facilitated several public/private partnerships with local businesses such as Rainier Chamber of Commerce and Genessee Merchants Association.
