Kelly is an IT professional based in the Pacific Northwest with over 20 years experience in software engineering, systems integration, web development, database development, BI and analytics, systems analysis, systems administration, project management and business process thought leadership.He also happens to be a songwriter, arranger, producer, and recording artist . Computer guy by day; musician by night.Kelly has worked directly and indirectly for large companies such as Microsoft and AT&T as well as small and midsize companies in the following industries: email marketing, outsourcing spend management, website design, labor resource tracking, telecommunications, manufacturing, insurance, banking and accounting.Kelly has been writing inspirational songs for the past 30 years, many of which have been published by Vineyard Publishing starting in the early 90’s. He is best known for writing “Draw Me Close (to You)” which has been on many recordings since first being published in 1994. He also self publishes through KelSongs.He has done session work on many recordings for Vineyard Music, most notably for worship recording artists Andy Park and Brian Doerksen. He continues to do session work for a variety of projects out of his own Avondale and Clear View Studios as well as around the Northwest.As a recording artist, Kelly performed vocally on inspirational songs for a variety of projects in the 1990’s. This past decade, in addition to his studio work, he has focused on writing and arranging instrumental music. His piano instrumental “Draw Me Close” was originally targeted for meditation and contemplation, but has proved beneficial for a wider range of applications, such as mind/body disciplines, educational therapy, physical therapy, massage, and other healing and wellness applications.Kelly assists various local projects and organizations: Recovery Cafe, Turning Point, Go the 2nd Mile, and Vineyard Community Church, all of which focus on providing care and compassion to the poor and the marginalized, locally and globally.
