CurrentWinLight Communications was founded in 2011 by Kelly Wade, who entered the extraordinarily fast-paced and completely addictive world of drag racing as a reporter for NHRA’s National Dragster magazine in 2007. She was also a regular feature story contributor on NHRA.com, DragRaceCentral.com, and various drag racing news websites. She was the first web editor for the dynamic online photo magazine LOOK@DragRacing.com.In 2011, WinLight Communications was conceptualized and born as a Public Relations firm with NHRA Pro Stock Motorcycle rider Jerry Savoie signed as the very first client. The next season, Funny Car driver Johnny Gray, Top Fuel driver Dominick Lagana, and Pro Stock driver Shane Gray joined the fold, and the business only continued to grow. The Gray Motorsports Pro Stock and Stock Eliminator team, Funny Car driver Tommy Johnson Jr. and sponsor Terry Chandler, multi-class Sportsman racer Jimmy DeFrank and California Car Cover Company, Pro Stock’s Chris McGaha and Harlow Sammons Racing, the Summit Racing-sponsored KB Racing NHRA Pro Stock team, Funny Car racer Tim Wilkerson, KYMCO, and LAT Racing Oils all aligned with WinLight Communications for multiple seasons.WinLight Communications actively and enthusiastically promotes drag racing as a whole, with a core mission of bringing attention to NHRA's esteemed Sportsman league and the drivers within the Lucas Oil Drag Racing Series, as well as to one of the most technologically advanced and constantly evolving categories in the sport, NHRA Pro Stock. The top-tier professional class features naturally aspirated 500 cubic inch EFI engines and requires profound precision in every aspect – from machining and assembly to tuning and driving in a world of constant development and change. At its heart, WinLight Communications strives to reach the broadest audience possible so that the exhilarating, ultra-competitive experience of drag racing can be felt near and far.
