As a shipping/receiving/Cross Train relief supervisor at Sheboygan Paper Box I'm working on process improvements, proficiencies, safety, safety planning, customer service, KPI tracking, and overall KPI and budgetary objectives and planning. I coordinate the transportation of products to customers and between the 4 SPBox facilities with common carriers and company vehicles. I help facilitate the building and grounds maintenances and security of the premises. I work with internal systems maintenances along with the common practices of HPOT, 5's, planning and scheduling, inventories, warehouse layout design and slotting, etc. I work with our staff to ensure proper processes, quality, safety, rates, and goals are achieved. I developed a load tracking system to track pallet shipment costs, frequencies, number of pallets per order, and ordering habits, for cost-saving measures, process improvements, staffing alignments, and production flows. I developed, monitored, and rolled out new policies and procedures for effective, efficient operations that aligned with the customer service, safety, quality, and productivity levels and goals that we established. I developed a customer shipment cost balance report that showed overall dollars spent vs. overall dollars recovered for each customer shipment. I negotiated with and re-aligned carriers to get low cost quality service providers. Reduced freight costs, increased t-put, and reduced overtime. I schedule training to create a better opportunity to be pro-active and adaptive to the ebb and flow of our customers’ demands, adjusting the workloads and schedules for smoother transitions and reduction in overtime and fatigue. I schedule and monitor staffing levels, vacations and absences to ensure company and union guidelines are met. I work with Imagenira (LMS) , C-view (report system), ADP payroll , and Time and attendance labor tracking systems.
