CurrentWithin the Key responsibilities – Records ManagementLead a team of professionally qualified information officers responsible for Bedfordshire Police’s compliance relating to their statutory and regulatory information obligations.As Manager of the Information Services Unit I am responsible for ensuring Bedfordshire Police achieves its objectives by ensuring Bedfordshire Police responds appropriately to requests for information and meets statutory and regulatory duties in the Information arena (including Data Protection [DP], Freedom of Information [FOI], Environmental Information Regulations [EIR], Records Management, Force and Joint Policy documents and other information services).I Plan, design, develop, advice, implementing and reviewing strategies / policies in relation to Freedom of Information, Data Protection, Environmental Information Regulations, Force Policy / Procedure, Force Forms, Police Authority Governance and Records Management including interpretation of new legislation. Providing expert advice and guidance on matters concerning information management, raising risks or issues with senior management and executives I Manage projects relating to information management, including implementation of new or amended local / national requirements.As Force Policy Manager facilitate on behave of the Force all aspects and issues relating to the development of Joint and Collaborated Policies and Procedure.I lead on Records Management for the ForceI have qualified in the following:Prince 2 - FoundationPrince 2 – Practitioner - Sep 2011 - Present date: APMG-InternationalBCS the Chartered Institute for IT – Certificate in Information Security Management Principles – Mar 2016: BCS Chartered IT ProfessionalBCS the Chartered Institute for IT – Certificate in Data Protection – Oct 2013: BCS Chartered IT ProfessionalBCS the Chartered Institute for IT – Certificate in Freedom of Information - Jan 2009: BCS Chartered IT Professional
