In addition to retaining my prior responsibilities (listed below), I expand my topical knowledge by analyzing Federal coverage of Medicare, Medicaid, Affordable Care Act (ACA), and pharmaceutical regulations. I train junior analysts on coverage best practices, while ensuring the appropriate amount of client tagging and all tasks are completed in a timely manner.

My main daily responsibility includes data-mining financial services, privacy, international trade, taxation, and insurance regulations for clients across the Federal government, all fifty states and territories. I liason with the Vice President to answer client questions, such as interpreting regulatory or legislative progress with the aim of keeping clients compliant in their respective industries.

I supported larger organizational strategy and mission aimed at providing migrant & refugee entrepreneurs with services and know-how to create their own businesses in Germany and throughout the European Union (EU). I also coordinated with Member State partner organizations to complete EU Commission project components within deadlines. While fulfilling my regular responsibilities, I redesigned Kompass' approach to accomplishing organizational objectives in light of public funding constraints as well as developed communication strategies to engage nonprofit and private funding sources interested in project stakeholder roles.

As a member of the 'MarComms' (Marketing/Communications) team in the Frankfurt office, I analyzed daily German news coverage for international aviation clients Singapore Airlines and Lufthansa Group. I found and translated sources and wrote English summaries, culminating in the creation of a print Monthly Coverage Report (MCR) for clients. The MCR details how often the client was mentioned in German-speaking media, the nature of the coverage (ex. circulation numbers) and total earned-media figures. I also prepared written materials for Singapore Tourism Board press events and the 2018 Internationale Tourismus-Börse (ITB) in Berlin, the world's largest yearly travel trade show. I also offered support across teams in H+K's other 2 German locations - Dusseldorf and Berlin - in order to complete client deliverables in a timely manner.

During the busy 2016 Presidential Election season, I supported analysts by checking and inputting raw data from Excel spreadsheets into graphs and tables in Powerpoint presentations for clients, both domestic (in battleground states like Montana, North Carolina, and Nevada) as well as international. In one specific case of the latter, I compiled election numbers, political party data, and other information of interest for a client in the Hungarian Socialist Party (MSZP). The same was done for a recent project, involving an Israeli national survey for Yair Lapid. On a daily basis, I programmed surveys by verifying initial frequencies, the ordering and wording of questions, and updating archived data. When this process was finished, I monitored fielding of the surveys to ensure proper reading of questions, enabling the collection of accurate voter data to inform campaign decisions.

I provided assistance to WIPAR's Program Coordinator in the fields of grant writing, research matching, and event-planning services for AU's School of Public Affairs faculty. Specific responsibilities included creating Request For Proposals (RFPs), executing targeted organizational searches, sending monthly grant alert newsletters, and collaborating with faculty to match grants appropriately to research interests. I used Pivot, Insightly, Mailchimp, Foundation Directory, and the complete Google Drive package on a daily basis.

I conducted research on behalf of a faculty member from American University's School of Public Affairs (SPA) for intensive graduate courses centered on non-profit organizational management, Congress, and lobbying. I was also a teacher's assistant (TA) for two American University, SPA courses: GOV 323, Interest Group Politics & GOV 210: Political Power and U.S. Public Policy.

I worked alongside the 50CAN policy team, interacted with and learned from the state campaign staff, and helped produce research and advocacy materials for 50CAN’s state campaigns. Key responsibilities included supporting state teams by collecting and analyzing data for research reports and fact checking 50CAN research products; providing state campaigns with general education policy research support; and drafting portions of advocacy products such as one-pagers, research reports, testimony, talking points and other materials to support state policy goals. For example, I provided policy support for MarylandCAN (state affiliate) to clarify the position of Baltimore City Schools with its adoption of the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) in the latest authorization of the Elementary and Secondary Education Act (ESEA). I concentrated on auditing and collecting various data for 50CAN affiliates' State of Education Reports (SOEs), which detail policy wins and the general education landscape of that state.

On behalf of the Government Accountability Project (GAP) and its partner Labaton Sucharow, I had the responsibility of leading GAP's social media campaign during the 6-week Dodd-Frank Whistleblower Protection Campaign. Passed in 2010, the Dodd-Frank consumer protection legislation ensures new protections for those who speak out about abuse and issues of government transparency. I managed GAP's Facebook, twitter, and other media outlets and participated in conference calls and wrote blog entries. I led the advocacy campaign, and recruited organizations to sign both an organizational letter and a Securities & Exchange Commission (SEC) rule-making petition. I recruited over 30 organizations totaling over two million supporters.
