Kathleen accepts briefs to advise and appear in all areas of law, and is most extensively experienced in commercial litigation, public and administrative law, and international commercial arbitration. Prior to coming to the bar, Kathleen worked as a solicitor at Clayton Utz where she was involved in contractual, property, regulatory, and company disputes, and proceedings relating to restructuring and insolvency, wills and estates, environmental law, customs and tariffs, and administrative law.During her time as a solicitor, Kathleen regularly appeared as a solicitor advocate in the Federal Circuit Court of Australia, Federal Court of Australia, Supreme Court of New South Wales, District Court of New South Wales, and the Local Court of New South Wales, both at first instance and on appeal.Kathleen was also previously the Tipstaff to Justice Gleeson of the New South Wales Court of Appeal, the Judicial Associate to Chief Justice Allsop of the Federal Court of Australia, and the Arbitral Tribunal Secretary to Professor Doug Jones AO.
