In my former role as Assistant General Counsel, I acted as a representative before Ohio State Employment Relations Board (SERB) and National Labor Relations Board (NLRB). I used negotiation skills on vendor service contracts, while preparing Memorandums regarding legal issues arising under collective bargaining agreements. Moreover, I oversaw and stayed updated on developments in labor and employment, contract, and administrative law to support the General Counsel. I organized campaigns and lobbied for political candidates and workplace issues at Ohio Statehouse. Additionally, I partnered with union leadership to develop legal strategies.• Composed amicus brief on voting rights in Ohio Democratic Party, et al v. Frank Larose to challenge Ohio Secretary of State's decision of limiting absentee ballot box locations for November 2020 election.• Led and oversaw arbitration claims and hearings regarding Union's expenditures, benefits, and internal practices.• Increased efficiency by providing training to field staff and union members on union organizing, arbitration, just cause discipline, collective bargaining, unfair labor practices, mediation, fact finding, and conciliation.

As a Staff Representative, I served as Chief Negotiator and oversaw the administration of Collective Bargaining Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding. Along with supporting employee and organizational interests through the pre-disciplinary process, grievance procedure, and arbitration, I also offered advice to AFSCME local unions across the public sector, including individuals working in the higher education industry.• Delivered leadership direction, support, and training to employees on collective bargaining, new employee orientation, implicit bias, union stewardship, and workplace rights.
