Provide leadership for the design branch of the company on project research, user interface, user experience, and visual design.Recent projects include:Planet Fundraiser – mobile app UI/UX design for fundraising startup. Defined the design objectives with project managers, provided suggested wireframes, built interface elements in Adobe XD, integrated feedback from project managers and developers, worked closely with developers to implement designs. Designed and built web assets in HTML/CSS.Tutr – mobile app for connecting tutors with students. Designed a complete brand guide including copy voice, company/brand personality, photographic styles, logo usage, colors and fonts. Wireframed and designed all screens/assets in Adobe XD and worked closely with developers for design implementation for Version 1.Bibb County Commission – website for local county government. Oversaw design and rendering of county logo, as well as coordinated/oversaw drone and still photography. Responsible for coding site in HTML/CSS on Wordpress.Under NDA – designed a pitch deck used by a startup company in the accessibility technology space. Generated graphics and text clearly explaining the business and marketing plan, channel partners, revenue, future product development. Skills included distilling large amounts of data into clear graphics and slides, formatting in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator, and working closely with CEO to ensure data accuracy.Under NDA – assisting a client in product research/design for the real estate industry. Duties include assessing marketing strategy, revenue potential, validation/development of idea via interviews with other real estate agents, and assembling all research data into a design+development action plan.Under NDA – in discussions with a startup in the medical space to solve severe internal process problems. Responsibilities include designing a new workflow informed by staff input involving a mobile-friendly software backend and database.

Provided book design consulting for a number of small independent customers, primarily until June 2018.Cover Design – worked closely with project managers to produce modern cover/jacket designs (primarily nonfiction) appropriate to the text and market for the book using Adobe InDesign & Photoshop.Typesetting – designed page layout for fiction and nonfiction, scholarly and popular. Received files via email and laid text out in Adobe InDesign using professional character/paragraph styles and master pages.Indexing – wrote topical indexes for several non-fiction projects and have generated indexes of Bible references for numerous projects.Content Organization – carefully read and organized approximately 700 independent articles and organized for optimum readability and flow of thought/argument.Manuscript Improvement – worked with authors and proofreaders to make improvements to wording and argumentation, as well as removing/summarizing duplicated material.Digital Content – currently developing an online platform for digital access to a multivolume theological commentary. This platform will be designed for optimal readability on desktop and mobile devices, will be searchable, and will link corresponding sermons to the written content. May integrate Hypothesis annotation engine for enhanced note-taking experience.Project Management – led development of several book projects. Duties included overseeing cover designs, supervising proofreading efforts on several thousand pages of text by multiple proofreaders, guiding production of various back-of-the-book indexes, advising author and publisher on project direction, status, and questions.Miscellaneous – digitized publisher logo when a digital version did not exist, conducted abbreviated research to determine whether readers preferred paperbacks or hardbacks of certain titles, pursued and obtained LOC numbers, purchased and assigned ISBNs, worked with commercial printers as well as several POD printers.
