Primary interface with carriers, internal customers and 3PL for logistics coordination and delivery of product via secondary transportation. Accountable for receiving and coordinating customer ordering, the physical product scheduling and delivery of all light oil and related products within a prescribed geography to retail and commercial customers via contracted third-party carriers. Maintain and update scheduling systems as needed to reflect current operations. Support safe, reliable and efficient product delivery. Assist Advanced Fuels Products by coordinating carrier activities to resolve product quality events. Manage carrier delivery performance to meet or exceed agreed upon KPI metrics. Use effective communication to develop and foster third party relationships and proactively manage underperforming carriers to improve performance. Make recommendations to replace underperforming carriers. Assist in identifying and recommending potential new carriers. Contribute to carrier performance reporting; participate in carrier reviews and drive improvement in HSSE. Primary point of contact for planned / unplanned supply availability communications to key internal business stakeholders and to external third-party carriers. Effectively communicate impacts to current operations and present alternate supply options. Support growth agenda by identifying / delivering cost efficiency ideas or opportunities to capture commercial value.

Responsible for working directly with shippers, receivers and carriers and other vendors to process transportation transactions with the goal of meeting or exceeding customer service expectations and internal financial performance goals. Responsible for continuously collaborating with stakeholders across the organization to improve service on their accounts, streamline processes, grow business, and elevate the shipper experience.

Responsible for executing load assignments to meet customer requirements for on-time, safe, damage free delivery of freight in a cost-effective manner. Optimize assets and drivers to meet customer requirements, service levels, revenue and profitability goals, and driver needs. Daily management of external dray carriers to minimize costs and maximize customer service levels.

Daily direct supervision of up to 30 local intermodal drivers. Responsible for enforcing driver compliance with DOT regulations, company safety and company regulations. Maintained payroll, promoted driver retention and ensured timely movement of freight to customers and intermodal rail yards. Trained new hires in operation of OBC PeopleNet System. Successfully managed a fleet of 30 drivers for over a year promoting safety culture to create a 100+ days accident free safety streak.

Operated in the Chicagoland area as far north as Milwaukee and southwest Wisconsin area, and up to Indianapolis and Grand Rapids. Ran freight in a day cab within a 200-mile radius of Chicago.

Utilized Microsoft Office: Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook to accomplish daily organizational goals. Provided excellent customer service to Marines utilizing the automated information system Marine Corps Total Force System (MCTFS). Prepared naval correspondence, messages, travel orders and various general administrative documents such as leave authorization. Handling of classified military information using government issued secret clearance.
