I am a Corporate Real Estate / Portfolio and Asset Management professional with extensive experience encompassing responsibilities that include site search and selection; engineering and construction; lease negotiation and administration; facility maintenance; risk management, disaster recovery and claim processing; environmental remediation; asset management; acquisitions and divestitures; and real estate steering committee governance. I was appointed to lead a $23M infrastructure improvement project targeting improvement of real estate assets of the resulting subsidiary following the 1999 merger of Tire Centers, Inc and Michelin North America, Inc. The project resulted in development of commercial service center and manufacturing combination facilities including flagship locations in Antioch, TN and Lancaster, TX. Following completion of the infrastructure improvement project, I was asked to lead development of the corporate real estate function within the Tire Centers, LLC corporate entity being relocated from Akron, OH to Duncan, SC. This effort led to the creation of a department specifically dedicated to Corporate Real Estate and Development; and was a precursor to executing a multi-year aggressive growth and development strategy. An aggressive growth strategy required the development of a repeatable controlled process model. The process provided for merging the buildings and infrastructure development with Supply Chain and Human Resources action plans in addressing a growth strategy that more than doubled the national portfolio footprint of the company to more than 4.5 million square feet of operational real estate across two business divisions. One such successful expansion initiative resulted in the turn-key roll out of 40 distribution centers in the span of 22 months. The project included engagement of investor and ownership entities in developing and negotiating creative lease terms and conditions.
