Position Involves:• Plan, develop and deploy group ICT projects within a large infrastructure, which consists of approximately 2000 users.• Implement projects in a structured manner according to defined project methodologies and project plans.• Coordinate projects to meet the desired deadline and ensure each project adheres to ICT project escalation procedures.• Work together with the business and ICT specialists to implement projects successfully.• Implement, enforce and maintain group ICT standards and policies.• Maintain and manage a large Citrix Presentation Server environment.• Assist in managing the company’s computer network, Microsoft Windows Server 2000/2003.Experience gained:• Planned, developed and implemented the company’s Citrix Presentation Server farm comprising of 65 virtual guests hosted on 10 Vmware ESX servers. The Citrix farm was build to support 1000 concurrent users focusing primarily on stability, redundancy and performance. • Assisted with the implementation of a new global active directory domain and Microsoft exchange infrastructure, with the main objective to centralize the company’s domain split over multiple countries including Belgium, Holland, Singapore and Bahrain.• Designed and implemented a Microsoft Systems Management Server (SMS) 2003 infrastructure.• Greatly improved my technical knowledge and skills within a range of Microsoft, Citrix, data storage (Symantec Enterprise Vault) and virtualization (VMware) solutions.• Assisted with the management of a large complex data centre migration achieving a seamless transition with no impact to the business. • Ability to successfully plan, develop and deliver large IT related projects.
