Our part time full stack developer bootcamp has lasted one year. The first 6 months we focused on front end development and the last 6 months on backend development. During the initial six months I was exposed to many technologies these include: HTML, CSS, Javascript, AngularJS, NPM, Grunt, Git, Bootstrap, Firebase, and Bower. There was time spent taking challenges on individually as well as a heavy focus on team based projects.During the second half we dove head first into the C#/.NET realm. The main technologies we worked with include: C#, Visual Studio, SQL, Unit Testing, Linq, Moq, Entity Framework, Razor, and MVC. With these new tools under our belt we began to study how best to structure relational databases as well as the ever increasing importance of security. The program culminated with a marriage of our front end and back end knowledge in a final Full Stack Capstone project. Connecting with others in the class, as well as the help of some excellent instructors, helped draw out the best in all of us and allowed us to flex our strengths and focus on improving ourselves as software developers and as professionals.

At the Renaissance Nashville Hotel I was responsible for working closely with my team as well as all other departments in doing our best to provide a clean, fun, and memorable experience of Nashville for our guests.

As a Front Desk Associate I was responsible for checking in and out guests, and assisting with all aspects of the their stay. From communicating with and supervising other departments to verifying and closing group billing accounts. Also assisted hotel as a Bellman. This included transporting guests to and from the airport in the company vehicle, Assisting guests with luggage and valeting their cars. Employee of the Month at the number one rated Marriott in Guest Satisfaction during the year I was there.

As a Night Auditor handled general accounting requests for the company, and worked as an Engineering Assistant making repairs to better enhance the guests’ experience.
