The Center’s team ofinternationally recognized physicians and researchers is driven by a singular focus andmission, to help individuals fight cancer.In the role of Board Chair, Leslie successfully established the inaugural 15-memberFoundation Board that included former NJ governors, the Commissioner of NJ Commerceand Economic Development, and senior leaders of pharmaceutical companies, regionalbanks, and private equity firms. Now part of Rutgers University Foundation, the CINJ Boardcontinues their work as an advisory board.

Ms. Leslie Taylor began her career with Matrix Development Group, one of the Northeast’smost respected real estate investment and development firms, at its inception in 1980 asController.Promoted to Vice President, Taylor played a leading role in the expansion of the companyfrom into a full-service real estate investment firm with holdings throughout New Jerseyand the Mid-Atlantic region. As Partner and Vice President, Taylor’s responsibilities were expanded to include corporate image development and marketing of the corporate parent and its individualprojects totaling $1 billion in assets owned and managed.In 1990 Taylor left Matrix to lead a new partnership formed by the Rockefeller family toacquire more than 800,000 square feet of office and research and development space inPrinceton Forrestal Center in Princeton. As Managing Director, she successfully directedthe corporate re-positioning, leasing, marketing, and asset management of this $100million portfolio into the campus known as College Park at Princeton.Following this successful repositioning, Taylor returned to Matrix to head its newly formedSpecial Events Division. In this capacity, Taylor directed the strategic creation andproduction of special event programs for Matrix properties, as well as for corporate andcharitable organizations throughout New Jersey and the metropolitan area. Under herleadership, Matrix Special Events produced some of the area’s largest special events;including New Jersey gubernatorial inaugural events, Senate campaign fundraising events,the Princeton International Rowing Regatta, the opening of the Richard B. Fisher Center forthe Performing Arts at Bard College in Annandale-on-Hudson, New York, and events for the Susan G. Komen Foundation.
