On-Board Systems Officer
CurrentI manage the configuration, operation, and maintenance of critical on-board systems for over 500 vehicles at Go North East, including ticketing technology, Wi-Fi, hearing loops, passenger information displays, and destination displays, ensuring reliable service and accessibility across our fleet. My role involves supporting frontline drivers, troubleshooting system issues, coordinating repairs and installations with internal teams and suppliers, and attending vehicles personally to repair system faults when needed.In addition to my technical responsibilities, I assist the Commercial and Marketing team through photography, videography, and design work, helping showcase our brand and supporting PR events that connect Go North East with our community. I also participate in various operational events, such as the Great North Run and the Santa Bus, to help ensure smooth operations and enhance the passenger experience.
