Although I served as Program Director at Bainbridge Island Boys & Girls Club, I actually ran the club for 8 months in the absence of an Executive Director, winning the title of ‘Boys & Girls Clubs of King County 2016 Bulldog of the Year’ at their annual staff awards ceremony for the way I stepped up. Under my stewardship the club grew. We saw an average of over 100 children per day for the first time in club history, each child enjoyed developmentally appropriate, fun filled programs (I have posted details about some of the higher profile programs that I created in the 'Projects' section further down on my Profile) I hired, trained and supervised a completely new team of staff and volunteers, I initiated an intern program with Bainbridge Youth Services, helped to create a club advisory board and lead the charge in our clubs first application for National Youth of the Year.
